Aristotle V. Michopoulos

​ARISTOTLE V. MICHOPOULOS

After moving to the United States in the 1970s, Aristotle Michopoulos was able to unite his Greek heritage with his passion for teaching. After earning a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Athens in 1967, he came to the US and received a Master of Arts from the University of New York. He rounded out his education with a Ph.D. from Florida State University from 1980.

Throughout his career, Dr. Michopoulos has taught generations of students in Greek and Hellenic studies. He has taught at Hellenic College, Florida State University and New York City high schools. He has also been a translator for the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of North and South America. During his time at Hellenic College, he was asked to fill the position of dean from 1995 to 2002.
